Brannon,we do not always agree on everything, but I am thankful for you and surly count you a brother. The thought occurred to me that we who believe one must trust in nothing but the blood of The Lord Jesus Christ to be saved would do well to put aside anything in our hearts that may divide us in any way. We need to fellowship around the blood of the One and Only God who died for us so the world will be drawn to us because of the love we have for one another. The world is following these false prophets like Joel Osteen in droves, like cattle to the slaughter. It is so sad, but also it should make us aware that the world is becoming a dangerous place for true Christians. May the peace, grace, and mercy be with those who trust in Jesus to save them. I agree with what Brannon says however being a lay person and not knowing the bible the way Brannon does is it not possible that Joel is trying to be seeker friendly? What do they teach in sunday school at his church.
I agree that he does not use the words sin, sinner, Jesus or Christ.He never uses scripture or hardly ever.I've only ever heard Joel refer to God.He talks more like a trained councelor who is trying to keep you positive and upbeat. I don't believe he has had any formal seminary training but I could be wrong on this.
