Why Torah Is Established By Faith!

Romans 3:31 tells us that Faith establishes the law (nomos = Torah), which is given to us by the lawgiver (nomothetes) in James 5:12. In that second passage, it is not judgemental to quote God's Torah as the law of the Lawgiver, in fact we are dying in Christianity because we think Romans 10:4 is the end of the Torah. If that is true a telescope is something which removes your sight. End in that passage is "telos", the root where we get telescope according to Webster 1828. There was a prefectly good word that would have meant put and end to. It is used in Romans 3:31 as the word void, which Paul said "God Forbid!" in regards to voiding the Torah.
We must teach the Torah as God's truth!

What a breath of fresh air this response is! The Bible tells us: "Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness" (1 john 3:4). I would think that this would be clear, especially considering the context of John's Epistle. This is why the opposite is true; the "Antichrist" by the power of Satan is called the lawless one (2 Thessalonians 2:8). Jesus and all of His Apostles teach the proper intent and interpretation of the Torah (Law, even though the word law is not a good translation of the Hebrew word Torah, nor is nomos, which is the Greek word used in the Septuagint to translate Torah). In the Prophets and Wisdom literature, "The Word of the LORD" and "Torah" are synonyms, such as Isaiah 2:3 - "And many peoples will come and say, "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the house of the God of Jacob; That He may teach us concerning His ways And that we may walk in His paths." For the law will go forth from Zion And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem." The Torah is also The Truth. Psalm 119:142 states -"Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, And Your Torah is truth." Every time a believer sings "Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path" (Psalm 119:105), they are singing about the Torah. Psalm 119:18 states - "Open my eyes, that I may behold Wonderful things from Your Torah." I would have to say that The Most Wonderful Thing, is The Word made flesh, Who never spoke in variance or in difference to the Torah of His Father. He lived by it and when He returns, it will be the foundation of His governance. "Now it shall come about when he sits on the throne of his kingdom, he (The King of Israel) shall write for himself a copy of this Torah on a scroll in the presence of the Levitical priests. It shall be with him and he shall read it all the days of his life, that he may learn to fear the LORD his God, by carefully observing all the words of this Torah and these statutes, that his heart may not be lifted up above his countrymen and that he may not turn aside from the commandment, to the right or the left, so that he and his sons may continue long in his kingdom in the midst of Israel."
