The Immigration Bill as proposed is unfair to legal immigrants as well as US citizens and taxpayers. It should not be passed in its current form. With that being said, current immigration law is completely unreasonable and promotes the destruction of families. My own experience with trying to bring my wife to the US was unbelievably frustrating. I almost had to leave my native USA to be with her. People hostile to the US are let in while good people with family who could support them are not allowed in. One can at least sympathize with those who break the law if the law gives them no opportunity to do it legally. One can feel even stronger if the law is immoral as to split up families...even those including US born citizens. But these sentiments are not politically correct in circles that really don't want to study all aspects of the issue.
I think President Reagan would scrap the entire system and start over again. He would enforce the current laws until that time though.

Once again, the people are speaking the truth but the politicians are not listening to us. We elected them to represent our viewpoint. This video should be shown to all our elected officials as it lends names (President Reagan and Mr. Meese) which are highly esteemed. We can't do anything about what President Reagan would have done, we need to do something about what can be done. If we can take the wise words of the sages of the distant past, then we can certainly take the wise words of the people of the present. They are the same words.

I find that this is reflective of the views of many Americans. Many of the problems caused by illegal aliens would be solved if the current laws were enforced.
