This video touched me deeply on so many levels. My fiance was physically abused and was raped. Though these things happened long before we were engaged, for a long time she was afraid to tell me of these things. When she did, my immediate response was much like President Reagan's -- I wanted to find the rapist and the abusers and 'take care of business'. The blame and rejection my fiance had been expecting never came because Jesus was able to minister to her through me.
Like Michael, I help care for an elderly parent. The will to see the parent restored as we remember him or her makes it so easy to think that the outbursts or other problems are intentional -- that if he or she would only try, things would be as they once were. The grieving for what is lost makes it so easy to miss the good in what remains.
I lost my Dad in 1979 -- I too have wondered since if there was enough said between us when we still had 'plenty of time'. I don't suppose there ever could be 'enough', yet somehow God balances it out so that it is enough.
Now if I could just get to subside that image of President Reagan, standing in the doorway waiting for his hug...

What a wonderful reminder of what is truly important in life. Satan would like nothing more than for us to wallow in despair and missing out on the little blessings that God gives us everyday. And only latter in life do we realize how BIG those little blessings really are. Praise the Lord, for His love endures forever.

Awesome video. It is such a joy to hear children of God share their testimonies and to honor their parents. I'm sure the President's faith played a large role in Michael's life, also. God Bless America.

Hi Thanks for the video clip
I live in the UK but I am student of America in the 19th and 20th centuries with a special interest in the Presidents and First ladies. We were in tampa Florida when Ronald Regan died and we enjoyed the many spiritual references in the service. The video clip of Micheal reminded us of the importance of telling our Dads that we love them and alos of telling God that we love him. Especially because our human Fathers and God our Heavenly Father show their love to us in so many ways. My dad is now in the Glory but when alive contacted us each day wherever we were in the World. He was a newspaperman and would have loved email ! Thanks for the clip and all the work of Worldwide. We are visiting New Englnad this Fall - John & Mavis Knight
