| Dr. Norm Geisler and Brannon Howse on Why Does God Allow Evil? Are There Contradictions in the Bible? & Why is Open Theism Heresy? |
Isn't no one good?

I agree with most of what Norm Geisler is saying. However, I disagree with the the fact that Mother Theresa is better than Hitler. The Ten Commandments were written so that no man could boast of his goodness. Romans 3:23 says "For all have fallen short of the Glory of God." Therefore, we have all fallen short and no one is good. That's why we need Jesus because He is the only one that can take the price of our sin. So it doesn't matter what we think, we are all guilty in God's eyes. Other than that, I liked the message.

Open Theism Misrepresented

I appreciate this ministry and Dr. Geisler however I have to take exception to many of the points he tried to make about open theism.
Open Theism supposes that God knows every thing that is knowable to Him. His prophecies, His will for the end of this world, in the future are all knowable to Him. He further orchaestrates peoples, events, and nations in the now to meet those ends of His will. But, open theism does not diminish God's capability but actually we see that His abilities are magnafied by Him operating in the now to meet the Omega. God is not outside of time, but within time, operating His will in the present to affect the future. IF God is outside of time, or looking down the corriders of time, the mankind truly does not have any freedom of will and neither does God for that matter. He can not at some time in the future, repent of making man...
I have not come to conclusion about this matter for myself. I know that most consider it heresy and will not even examine it without coloring the issues.
Jesus the Lamb of God slain from the foundation of the world is a tough issue to get beyond. Also, the Holy Spirit expressly says in the latter days...

Reference to Proposal to End Abortion

Would like to suggest that Worldview review the following book: "The State Boys Rebellion" by Michael D'Antonio. ISBN 0-7432-4512-1. The book concerns the systematic "Sterilization-Eugenics"-of young boys and girls deemed "Unfit" in order to "Improve the Gene Pool." Shockingly, this "began" in the 'United
States" in the early 20th Century.
From the book: "Darwin's theories of natural selection viz-a-viz
George Mendel's work with "Genes" led to "fear" that the feebleminded would ruin future generations. Once considered a "patriotic" cause, "Eugenics," gained international renown, while "contributing directly" to the genetic ideology behind the "Nazi Holocaust." This information could be utilized to combat Abortion for obvious reasons and has been relayed to
a member of Granada Pres in Coral Gables,Fl Mrs Victoria Barnes, the mother of
Jonathan Barnes, who was
born with Cerebral Palsy/Blind. The proposal was to entitle a Tax-Exempt Organization "The Jonathan Advocate" as the basis to organize a national team who will inform the public of Abortion and its "relationship" to "Eugenics" and "Nazism" while soliciting a Bill to end Abortion. This is purely a proposal which should have much impact that hopefully, you and your colleagues will recognize because of its impact relative to Nazism. There could not be a counter-offensive, again for obvious reasons.

Timel y Encouragement

My husband and I are being persecuted for believing and standing for the true gospel message that balances the grace of God with the fear of God. Our pastors have recently found a website by Andrew Womack that they are getting their preaching material from. It is a confusing and dangerous doctrine, which throws out the fear of God and only focuses on the grace of God. They are saying that God does not have control over what the devil is doing and that nothing painful comes from God. We were told that we will be come against if we believe differently than what he is preaching. Not sure how long we will be able to stay here, but we sure do love the people.
My husband was a pastor and we merged with this church three years ago. At the time, this pastor did not believe this way. Recently we were called into the office to be told that we may want to leave because we would not be allowed to preach or teach or minister in their church anymore.
We believe they turned to this doctrine because of a desperate search for answers to the wife's prolonged sickness.
Your podcast was such an encouragement to me and I will be listening to your program from now on. I have always believed just what you said, Dr.Geisler about evil and God's goodness and the seemingly contradicions. How refreshing to know that others who "rightly divide the word of truth" believe the same.
Thank you sincerely,
kimberly

Evil is not what you think it is!

Evil is associated with Satan and his act of Rebellion against God. Believer are associated with evil by the word SIN (which is the name of the ancient moon god of Babylonian) which is a believers participation in what Satan is doing. That is taking God out of the equation and the decision process and acting on your own total free will that is called SIN! The unbeliever does not sin in that it makes no difference what he does as his end is HELL. Read what is said in John 3:17-18 if you still don't get it.
